Well it's finally happened...me and AJ finally got ENGAGED!!!! We have been together for what seems like forever...but we are extremely excited!!! We haven't set any date as of yet...we are just trying to save up some money before we start the planning...so far we have decided on 2 years...but I will keep you updated!!!

I am happy to introduce you to our newest family member...Jacob Michael DuBrink!!! He was born yesterday...9lbs.8ouces and 21 inches long...He's beautiful and Heath was such a trooper!!! I am sooo proud of my big sis!!!

New Apartment New Start!!!

So for those of you who don't know I moved over the summer and things have just been chaotic since then..between work, takin care of Daphne, spendin time with the family, the girls, and AJ it's been an action packed summer...it's almost over which can only mean FOOTBALL season!!!! I love football season!!!! the only bad part is that it makes me miss cheerleading:( Through all the chaos that has been my life my family is about to get 2 new additions which I'm excited about!!! Heatho and Kurt found out that they are having a boy(no name has been decided on as of yet) and Meggie is prego(don't know the sex yet) so we have our hands full...my mommy is about to be a grandmom of 4 and I'm going to be an aunt again!!!! So the fam is ready for all these new adventures...I'm looking forward to just getting away on my cruise with Ambre and Sarah...that should be lots of fun and I think we all need to just get away!!! Besides that things in my life are starting to fall into place!!! Within a year I should be a certified teacher which is extremely exciting for me...and I can't wait to finally settle down in a school and have my own class!!!

Been Meaning to Blog!!!

Ok so ALOT has been going on, and I just didn't have the time to blog...not that you are all dying to know what's going on..Well anyway,so the reasons that I've been so busy are that I just moved into a new apartment...and might I add that I hate moving, and if I ever have to do it again then I'm paying someone to do it!! Then there's Daphne...she has been occupying ALOT of my time..but she's gettin sooo big, and today was her first day of puppy school...I know I know school for a dog, but I realized I know nothing about raising a puppy so I decided that we both need to learn. Her teacher was in love when she saw her...as is everyone else..The biggest news of all is that in December I'm going to have a beautiful new nephew!!!! Yeah that's right Heatho is havin a boy and FINALLY adding to the DuBrink clan!!! I'm so excited and can't wait to go shopping!!!! Well that's about it from me!!!! I will try to blog more often!!!

Ok while everyone else was getting stuck in a storm(I guess I should have watched the news) I was drivin to South Jersey to celebrate Debbie's last day in Jersey for some time at Adelphias...oh how I miss my girls in Jersey!!! I was sooo happy that I could make it to see her before she left....and I miss her ALOT!!! I'm just hopin that she comes home soon...I know that Esther is dying..lol...so here's some pics for you guys to enjoy!!!

What a great night!!! Ok at first I thought it would be a little awkward...my girls from high school meeting up with my girls from college and then throwing AJ in the mix...but turns out everyone had a great time!!!! Well then again how can you not when alcohol is involved...it was sooo nice seeing Esther again I forgot how much fun she is and made me realize that after all this time it's like she never left my life...I guess that's what having a true best friend feels like....and then let's not forget Debbie who was the life of the party!!!! She was all over the place...it just brought me back to high school, she was my partner in crime whenever Esther didn't wanna get into trouble...then AJ, Sarah, and Ambre....it's so nice that my oldest friends in the world got along so great with AJ and the girls!!! Overall it was a great night, however the highlight of the night had to be when my big sister Anne leaped on my back and tackled me to the ground like a football player over a damn tampon!!! I will never forget that probably because my hip is hurting this morning from falling on my knees and face first down on the ground like I was being arrested...but hey noone can say that they have a cooler sister that me!!!! She tackles you for a tampon and can "get low" who else can say that about their sister??? Don't wanna forget my baby sister Meggie, I hope that you had a great birthday!!!!

*Finally, I ask that you all put Debbie in your prayers because she's leaving for Iraq in June...the Navedo family has part of my family for the longest time and I know that they will be in my families prayers, but I just ask that you all pray for her safe return...and keep her family and son in your thoughts*

So Valentine's Day and our 4 year anniversary all in the same weekend!!! I'm so excited to go out to dinner with AJ and spend some time together, just the 2 of us!!! I am so lucky to have such a wonderful man in my life!! He has truly made me a better person. If it weren't for him than who knows where I would be. He has stood by my side through all the hard times, and been there to pick me up when I felt that all was lost! Through all the craziness he has never left my side!! Even more my family loves him to death(Brandon never gets excited that Aunt Kelly is coming to visit he only wants to know that Uncle AJ is coming). I love him soo much I don't even know how to put it into words!!! So here's to a wonderful anniversary and spending a lifetime with him!!!

I haven't written in awhile....did I mention that I HATE winter!!! It always gets me sick. I've had all kinds of viruses, shingles, and now strep throat(thanks to AJ) So needless to say I can't wait til Spring!!!! Other then that, nothing really new going on. I do however have to state that I am extremely disappointed that for the 2nd time Tony Romo has choaked in the playoffs and yes T.O. did cry on national tv, but what can you do other than hope that things get better for next year. What made it all worse was that they had to lose to the damn Giants,which means I got to enjoy phone calls from Nesta....even though I completely hate the Giants I am rooting for them to knock off the damn Patriots(who I hate more) I have this thing about rooting for the underdog.
Today when I read my e-mail, I saw this e-mail from Nesta about NKOTB, and for those of you who don't know New Kids on the Block. Ok, I LOVE THEM!!!! And yes I'm not afraid to admit it, I still rock their cd's in my car. It was about a reunion tour, and I'm sure it probably won't be for like another year or so, but I'm so there!!! It got me all excited!!!! NKOTB always makes me remember how obsessed Nesta and Dani were, I remember Dani had an album dedicated to every newpsaper clipping. It was crazy!!! So I'm really looking forward to that!
I'm really excited that one of AJ's friends from college(Josh)just got engaged to a wonderful girl that I got the pleasure to meet at Albright Nora, they are just so perfect together. I can't wait to get together and celebrate their engagement!! Hopefully, by that time they will have set the date!!!!
So I've never really liked the month of February because of Valentine's Day. I never really had anyone to share it with or anyone that made it great. It just made me think of all those sappy cards(the ones that Nesta loves) and made me hate to see those happy couples. Not until I met AJ did I not hate when this holiday came around. I know it sounds cheesy, but it's the perfect holiday to be cheesy. Well, as another Valentine's Day is approaching soon, I want to make it special because not only is it Valentine's Day, but February 15th is me and AJ's 4 year anniversary as well!!! So I wanna do something to show him that I love him and appreciate all the love that he gives me. It seems like we have been together forever, but I can honestly say that this has been the best 4 years of my life, and I can't wait to share the rest of it with him!!!

So in closing, I hope that winter is treating the rest of you way better than it's treating me, and that you all have someone in your life that means as much as AJ does to me!!!!!

Been a while...

Ok it's been some time since I last wrote, and alot has been going on. I had such a wonderful dinner with my family to celebrate my mom's 57th b-day!!! Me and AJ brought my Wii so we could all play which was very entertaining!! Kurt was getting all into it and Pie Pie kept smacking her hand into the mantle. Not to mention that Pie and Margie were having their own grudge match over the Wii, and Pie was giving her a pretty bad ass whooping. It was fabulous!!! My mommy looks incredible for being 57, and I'm so proud of her!!! She found some fashion aside from her Comcast t-shirts and straight leg jeans, I guess that's what happens when you realize that your kids are all grown up and now you can get back to the way things were before you had kids. She lost a ton of weight and now has a fashion sense!!!
So AJ is going to be an uncle soon!!! I'm excited!!! His sister is going to bring a beautiful baby into the world, and I'm just hoping that this can bring her and AJ alot closer. Babies tend to do that to people. I have always been close with my sisters, but when Brandon came into the world it changed alot of things. I look at the person that Brandon has become and I'm so proud to say that MY BIG SISTER has made him the way that he is today! He is so passionate for such a little kid. And of course Katie!!! She is a little princess just like her mommy!!! Part of me knows that when his sister has her baby AJ will just fall in love the way that me and my sisters have fallen in love with Brandon and Katie!!!
Me and AJ are great!!! We are starting off the new year completely in love! Things are going so well, and I am sooo happy! He has helped me to become such a better person. He has been there to support me through all the ups and downs that I've had in my life. He has become my stregnth and has helped me to become a better person. He is more than a boyfriend, he's my family, and I feel blessed that he is apart of my life!!!
I hope that you all have someone in your life that has changed you for the better, and if you do let them know each day how much they mean to you!!

Ok so the year didn't start off good because I had food poisoning....but I think it's going to be a great year anyway!!! Christmas was fabulous....starting with AJ suprising me with the Wii that I asked for!!!! I was really starting to think that I didn't get it, but I was wrong...Then spending Christmas morning with Brandon and Katie(and of course me and AJ got the best gifts again this year!) Then spending the rest of the day with AJ's family, which was great!!! So me and AJ made some good resolutions this year! Hopefully, we can stick to them, and maybe it will get me the rock that Nesta wants for me so bad!!!! Happy New Year everyone!!!

Santa Claus is coming to town!!!

I so can't wait til Christmas gets here...I got such good gifts for everyone this year! I really can't wait to spend Christmas morning with my family and then dinner with AJ's...I'm sure the day will start with Brandon calling me at about 6am to tell me that Santa has already been to his house, and he can't wait to open the rest of his presents so we need to hurry. Then it's off to Jersey for me and AJ. I love goin to Nesta's house especially around Christmas because as soon as you open the door you are greated by the smells of freshly baked Christmas cookies and before you can take it all in Brandon and Katie come running towards you dying to know what you bought for them. I love it!!! Then after my mom, Meg, Heath, and Kurt get their wake up calls from Brandon we all sit down to a nice breakfast and talk about how we can't believe that this year is over already....usually my mom preaches to us about something...probably politics this time...or how much weight she's been losing or something that none of us want to hear about so damn early in the morning...then that's followed by the exchange of gifts by the adults which isn't quite what I remembered as a child, I think it looses it's luster once you get to a certain age. Then it's off to AJ's house to give his family the wonderful gifts that we have picked out for them, and I can't wait to see the look on JD's eyes when he sees that we got him the football jersey he was asking for...so it looks like it's gonna be a great end to a great year....and so many things to look forward to in the new year!!!!

Please pray that I get the Wii that I asked for...maybe I should have written a letter to Santa!

What a great Thanksgiving...Well,it all started Wednesday night when the power went out at my friend Brenda's apartment and since she's totally freaked out by being alone in the dark I went over to comfort her. It started off with her offering me A drink, and that turned into a night of drinking and fun! Then, the next day it was off to Chez DuBrink for some Thanksgiving snacks, and some quality time with the fam! Then me and AJ had Thanksgiving dinner with his best friend Bob and his family, which involved alot more drinking! Finally, I had to get up extremely early on Black Friday to get some shopping done...So it turned out to be a great time. I got to spend time with my family, meet Bob's wonderful family, and get some shopping done. It all made me realize how truly thankful I am to have such a wonderful family and friends to spend the holidays with. So here is what I'm truly thankful for:

AJ- being supportive of everything I do
Heath- her wisdom and being like my mom through all the hard times
Nesta- for loving me uncoditionally and always accepting me
Meggie- for sticking by my side no matter what
Mommy- for coming back into my life, I've missed you soo much!
Brandon&Katie- for making me the proudest Aunt Ever!!!
AMSG- for being the best friends a girl could ever ask for...I love you girls!

So enjoy your family and friends as the holidays come around and be thankful for such wonderful people in your life, cause I am truly blessed for the wonderful people in mine!!!

Busy Busy Weekend!!!

Me and AJ are looking forward to a couple of days off from work, but it's still gonna be a LONG weekend...starting with Thanksgiving...1st stop is at Chez DuBrink for some quality time with my family....followed by some quality time with AJ's family...then on Saturday me and AJ are off to JD's championship football game!!! So it's a jam packed couple of days....Hopefully, I can fit some drinkin dates with the girls in there!!!! Love you all and hope you have a great Thanksgiving!!!

Woodbury vs. Paulsboro!

Ok so the game didn't exactly go as I would have hoped it would...but it was close 14-13 Paulsboro. But, I did get to spend time with Brittany and DeJean(my godson) which was nice since I hardly get to see her. Not to mention, AJ finally got to see WHS play football and meet Brittany. Nesta and Brandon were there, and Brandon has become my favorite person to watch football with!!! He gets so excited!!! Not only did Brandon enjoy the game, but he made a new friend DeJean and he got to meet his favorite player #5 James Bundy who came and shook his hand after that game. Brandon thought it was great, it was like he was meeting an NFL player...I loved it!!! Well, even though Woodbury didn't win it was a great day with some of my favorites!

Go Thundering Herd

This week has been a great week so far. It started by going back to Woodbury to watch the Thundering Herd play a little football, followed by me applying to be the cheerleading coach at my alma mater WHS, and finally seeing my family get so excited about football once again. We have been away for some time, but we're back!!!! This weekend at 1pm at Paulsboro, Woodbury has an oppurtunity to do something that hasn't been done since I was a sophomore in high school and that is to beat some P-boro a**!!!! So I hope to see you all there wearing your throw back WHS jerseys and your blue and gold!!!

Back to my Roots!!!

Ok so it all started this past weekend when my big sister Anne and my nephew Brandon convinced me that I had to come with them to a WHS football game. Ok now I must admit that I was a little hesistant because the last time I was at a WHS football game it was not in the stands but standing on the track in my cheerleading uniform. I'm so glad that Anne and Brandon convinced me to go!!! The feelings I felt when I entered that stadium were undescribable. Watching Brandon jump up and down as Woodbury scored a touchdown and watching Katie dance to the songs that the band played made me so proud to say that I was once a part of that, and how desperately I was dying to be apart of that once again. It also didn't help that after watching the performance by the cheerleaders I felt embarrassed for them. All of the things that Anne, myself, and Esther had put into that cheerleading program had completely gone down the drain. So I decided that something needed to be done! I got some balls and wrote the athletic director at WHS a letter about me being the cheerleading coach at Woodbury. Cheering at WHS were some of the best times in my life. I remember decorating the halls at WHS and the boys lockers and the appreciation that they showed us was incredible. I felt so proud to wear that uniform( the uniforms that my family busted their asses to get me). Woodbury cheerleading used to be about school spirit and pride, something that it serious lacking now. So who better for the job than someone like me, who grew up in the football program and whose dream it is to coach that squad. So now I anxiously wait for a response, and hope that the athletic director gives me that chance. I know it sounds corny but it has been my dream since graduating from Woodbury to return and be the cheerleading coach at WHS, and I've had some great coaches(Marge Sebest) to show me how....so wish me luck!!!!
